We were honored to have Dr. Gingold share his and his family's experiences in the Holocaust with our 7th and 8th grade classes. Click the link below to watch his presentation. https://youtu.be/LDbnA4qd0-M

Mrs. Ingalsbe's 5th grade class enjoyed a friendly competition of accurately answering review questions about the Water Cycle. It was a great opportunity to get our bodies moving while doing school work!

The book fair is happening in the PGS library this week. Times are:
Tuesday 8-3
Wednesday 12:30-7
Thursday 2-4
Checks, cash, or cards are accepted. Checks can be made payable to PGS.
Thanks!

It was wear your favorite band shirt today. Leah and I picked the same band, Guns and Roses! Really liking Emmitt's Queen shirt as well!

Some of the first graders were successful in getting the leprechauns to the pot of gold. A big thank you to a few sixth graders who helped us avoid the traps while block coding with variables of speed and distance on our Sphero Bolts. (Videos of successful runs are on our Facebook page.)

NO BOARD GAME CLUB TOMORROW! We will resume after spring break!

Mrs. Ingalsbe's 5th grade class had an exciting week watching their chicks hatch... The chicks must have been exhausted from all they learned in class this week because they enjoyed some naps on some of the kids! 🐣
Thank you for the experience Vermilion County Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom & Ms. Buhr!

Music Madness is now over! That was exciting and a close race! Our song winner was...
Play it Again by Luke Bryan
Only one student chose the winning song, and that was Kendall Leigh!
The student with the most correct song choices was Paisyn Esteppe!
Prizes will be given out Monday morning.

We have extra shirts available to purchase!! YS-AXL -- $15!! A2XL-A3XL - $18!!! Ms. Freeman will have some at the game!! We will also leave a few at school if you'd like to purchase before you leave for the game!

Yesterday's Music Madness was a surprise. We had a tie of 61-61 between Wellerman and We Will Rock You. After polling the teachers, We Will Rock You won out. So today's final music battle is between Queen and Luke Bryan. Can't wait to see who wins!

Reminder: PGS will be dismissing at 1 PM Friday, March 10th to allow all students, staff, and families to be able to go and support the 7th grade volleyball team at State. Our team plays at 4:30 PM in Brimfield. Go Cardinals!!

PGS 7th and 8th grade classes had the privilege to hear from Mr. William Gingold about his experiences of being born during and surviving the Holocaust (and the years after) with his family.
To learn more about Mr. Gingold's story check out the book Tunnel, Smuggle, Collect: A Holocaust Boy.

Yesterday was a special day in first grade! After 21 long days we were greeted by five chicks in the morning, three during our school day and ended the day with two more arrivals. We have moved some chicks to the brooder box and hope to have more by the end of today!

Here are the winners from todays Music Madness. It is going to be a tough decision tomorrow!
